Advantech's ADAM-6000 Series of Ethernet I/O Modules feature the latest technology enabling them to remotely monitor field device status more flexibly. They are empowered by Peer-to-Peer (P2P) which makes mapping between modules a breeze. In addition, the easy-to-use and intuitive graphic utility allows users to do system configurations in an extremely short time eliminating the need for additional controllers or programming. All popular protocols are supported including Modbus TCP, ASCII UDP and the modules can perform as standalone products for measurement, control, or automation. Furthermore, the Daisy-Chain connectivity of the ADAM-6200 family reduces the need for network switches while retaining reliability of network connectivity with the Auto-Bypass function.
ADAM modules can be monitored and controlled from any browser on any device such as a smart phone or tablet whilst connected to the same
Configuring or upgrading the firmware of multiple ADAM modules can be done by connect to one device, either directly or through a switch.
Daisy chain connectivity offers flexible cabling and space saving capabilities whilst auto bypass can prevent accidental power failure if one of the modules shuts down unexpectedly.
Unlike master/client mode, Peer-to-Peer enabled modules actively update input channel status to specific output channels. Users can define the mapping between input channel and output channel on different module.
