IEEE 802.11a/b/g Single to Triple Radio
Outdoor Wireless AP/Client Bridges
Advantech, a leading industrial communication solutions provider, has
unveiled three new high performance industrial wireless outdoor
solutions, IEEE 802.11a/b/g single to triple radio Access Points
(EKI-6321AG, EKI-6322AG and EKI-6323AG). These outdoor AP/Client Bridges
incorporate Daisy-Chain Mesh and Ultra Fast Roaming technology to
enhance long range wireless coverage and mobility connectivity. By
offering concurrent 802.11a and 802.11b/g dual or triple radio
connectivity, the aggregate bandwidth available on the network
increases, providing seamless redundancy. IP67 ratings and wide
operating temperatures offer robust performance, and watertight and
weatherproof cases allow these devices to be used in harsh outdoor
scenarios. |

Advantech's
Daisy Chain Mesh allows data routing to be fixed. In the event the
AP node fails, the radio will search for another available path.
The advantage of this mechanism is that it preserves more hardware
resources and has efficient data transmission rates. Advantech's
Daisy-Chain Mesh technology extends wireless coverage and maintains
high throughput rates (12~15 Mbps). |

In
the past, mobile use of Wi-Fi over wider ranges was limited, for
instance, use in an automobile moving from one hotspot to another
was impossible. Now, Advantech's Ultra Fast Roaming technology
resolves this problem. The Ultra Fast Roaming technology provides a
Handover Switching Time less than 10ms, allowing seamless video
streaming or passenger information transmissions in moving
environments (under 140 km/h). |

intelligent bandwidth management modes, including trunking, smart
traffic load balance, one way transmission, and failover

(EKI-6322AG dual radio and EKI-6323AG triple radio only). |
